The VPC218XB series is a highly integrated power control chip suitable for various topologies (Flyback \ Buck \ Boost) and output voltage feedback methods (PSR \ SSR \ resistive voltage division). Integrated with ultra wide range starting circuits as low as 4V and as high as 100V. The internal integrated anti backflow diode prevents current from flowing back from the VDD end to the VIN end. The VPC218XB integrates a current sampling differential amplifier internally to significantly improve the sampling signal-to-noise ratio, reducing the current limiting threshold voltage of the CS port to 156mV, which can significantly reduce the power consumption of the current sampling circuit. It adopts a current transformer free design, thereby reducing costs and improving reliability. In SSR working mode, VPC218XB can choose whether it has analog frequency reduction function through the connection of FB pin. If the analog frequency reduction function is selected, the controller works at the set maximum operating frequency for PWM modulation under heavy loads. As the load decreases to a certain extent, the controller optimizes the efficiency of the full load range by gradually simulating the frequency reduction working mode, while obtaining lower light load ripple voltage and no-load power consumption. VPC218XB can achieve PSR feedback at operating frequencies of hundreds of kHz, and the built-in output voltage sampling circuit can work simultaneously in CCM and DCM modes, with a requirement for a sampling voltage time width as low as 350nS; The built-in loop compensation circuit with fast dynamic response function ensures good stability and dynamic performance of the switching power supply. VPC218XB has precise programmable input undervoltage protection and differential return, output short circuit protection, output overvoltage protection, over temperature protection, and other functions, ensuring high reliability of the switching power supply across the entire range.
