VPS6002
VPS6002 is a linear voltage regulator that can withstand ultra-high input voltages. It can operate continuously at 100V input, with a transient withstand voltage of up to 115V. Combined with the strong heat dissipation package of ESOP8, it can also provide a wide range of transient high currents under high input voltages, meeting the short-term dynamic high current requirements of microprocessors.
The characteristic of VPS6002 lies in its dual output of VO1 and VO2. The VO1 output uses high-voltage VIN as the input power, while the VO2 output uses VO1 as the input power, which can be combined with a switching power supply. When the switching power supply is working, the energy is fed back to VO1, which can automatically close the ultra-high voltage linear stabilizer from VIN to VO1, providing overall efficiency; When the switching power supply is not working, the ultra-high voltage linear regulator resumes operation, achieving ultra-low standby power consumption.
When used in combination with ceramic capacitors, VPS6002 can maintain stability and only occupy a small amount of circuit board space. It integrates thermal shutdown and current limiting functions, which can protect the system in case of faults. The working temperature range of ESOP8 packaging is TJ=-40 ℃ to 125 ℃.
In addition, the VPS6002 high-voltage linear regulator from VIN to VO1 uses N-type power transistors, which not only can withstand ultra-high voltage, but also has excellent suppression effect on fast transient voltage. Therefore, it is a simple and cost-effective electrical surge protection circuit, widely used in telecommunications and industrial applications, using intermediate voltage rails to generate low-voltage power sources, such as PoE, bias current sources, LED lighting, and so on.
